Ergonomic Risk Factor

A comprehensive ergonomic analysis of the engineer’s workstation was performed, and awkward posture was determined to be the issue contributing to low back pain.  Specifically, the chair seat pan was longer than the engineer’s thigh length, preventing his buttocks from being able to be placed at the rear of the chair, and causing a flexed forward low back posture when seated.
